The role: Esaote spa, for the R&D MRI function in the Mechanical Design team, is searching for a brilliant Mechanical Design Leader based in Genoa Multedo.
The Mechanical Design Leader is in charge of ensuring innovation and development of Mechanics components of the MRI product line, by proposing, supervising, coordinating and monitoring corresponding design activities and by constantly upgrading expertise and technology innovations, in compliance with current company policies and procedures. He/she also ensures the development of internal know-how about technologies and materials which have specific field of application in MRI.
Main Tasks: Participate in internal MRI know-how developments and technological innovation upgrading, keeping mechanical skills, proposing training programs for the assigned team.Be responsible for the performance management and development of individuals within the team to ensure that they are supported to achieve their goals and aspirations.Identify, with the support of the group team, suitable mechanical solutions to address market requirements, optimizing the cost/performance ratio and guaranteeing quality and reliability.Ensure the set-up, development and implementation of the activities assigned to the team, by guiding, coordinating and monitoring the corresponding stages.Define and implement strategies for the development and verification of the work delivered by the team, at unit and system level.Contribute to the development of the Group's Intellectual Property rights, by identifying and proposing arguments for the registration of new patents, working with the relevant functional areas to define and manage them.Cooperate with Project Leader to define the system requirements specification and cooperate with the team to define the sub-system requirements specification.Ensure that the tools, libraries and systems used by the team are effective and being utilized to their best potential.Manage the assigned team promoting motivation and development, in line with personal characteristics and professional skills, in line with HR policies to introduce organizational behaviors contributing to achieve the company objectives.Build a team-wide knowledge of compliance and safety issues.Contribute to technical analysis of the system design which involves mechanics with impact on patient ergonomics and comfort.Ensure a continuous improvement of the product's performance by investigation of novel techniques and/or adaptation of state-of-the-art techniques.Interpersonal skills: Strong in leading engineering teams with an interdisciplinary approach.Ability to plan and develop engineering approaches to deliver a project through its lifecycle.Testing and evaluating designs and prototypes.Requirements: Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or similar.Excellent proficiency in English both written and spoken.Strong problem-solving skills.Previous experience in a similar role (minimum 5 years).Esaote is an Equal Opportunity Employer that celebrates diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
