Functieomschrijving Randstad Italia Inhouse Services is currently recruiting a Satellite Mechanical and Thermal Engineer for an aerospace client based in Rome.
Responsabilit The job holder will have the following main tasks:
Satellite system engineering activities related to structural and thermal design, aimed at specifying the requirements for design and verification of structure and thermal control of satellite. Aimed at specifying design and test requirements for equipment hosted in satellite. Accomplishment of structural and mechanical analyses through the finite element methods, including both static and dynamic cases, through s/w tool NASTRAN. Accomplishment of thermal analyses through the finite element methods, including both steady state and transient cases, through ESA s/w tool. Management and reduction of complex finite element models for Coupled Load Analysis with launcher participation. Participation to thermal balancing test, structure testing, and vibration test of satellite is requested, in view of correlation of digital models with test results. Functie-eisen Also required is attitude in the following areas:
Attitude to follow the entire design chain, from understanding of customer's requirements and participation to bid phase, through the design and development phase up to integration and testing of satellite and its final verification before launch. Attitude to learn new tools for thermal or mechanical design analysis, including CAD, through personal theoretical study and on-the-job training, in case of specific software tool requested by the customers. Requirements Master Degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering. Knowledge of software for numerical simulation and FEM analysis (MSC Nastran, MSC Patran) and programming languages (Matlab, Python). Theoretical and practical knowledge for the use of instrumentation for dynamic analysis of structures: accelerometers, modal hammers, electrodynamic shakers, load cells.
