Job Description - Materials Scientist - Internship (00001IP3) Materials Scientist - Internship Kenvue is currently recruiting for a Materials Scientist Intern. This role serves as a technical lead to execute projects that secure business, ensure compliance, reduce complexity, and optimize costs of our Kenvue raw material portfolio (cosmetic and OTC).
Responsibilities Execute double sourcing qualification and manage changes (crisis, discontinuation, supplier-driven changes, and plant support) on the current raw material portfolio up to change implementation. Support the coordination of functions (Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing plants, Regulatory Affairs, Analytical, Microbiology, Quality, etc.) and ensure project follow-up. Provide technical support, evaluating the impact of changes related to the current raw material portfolio. Work with other global leads and functions to manage Global Change Controls for multiple raw materials. Develop Global Change Control Plans and Deliverables and own Execution of the GCC. Prepare lab batches of semi-solid and liquid products to assess equivalency. Coordinate other business functions to evaluate the impact of the changes. Coordinate and interact with various internal departments such as Procurement, Analytical, IM/EM sites, QA, PD, Regulatory, Toxicology, Claims, and Suppliers. Conduct lab data statistical analysis and reporting (Minitab) for raw materials. Prepare Technical Justifications. Support manufacturing investigations and provide general technical service to guarantee business continuity. Seek guidance from other team members and direct Manager as needed. Qualifications What We Are Looking For Required Qualifications Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related field is preferred. Ability to work independently. Good communication and presentation skills. Problem-solving, complexity management, and decision-making abilities. Ability to collaborate with different areas (global cross-functional teams, suppliers). Strong passion for science, technology, innovation, and problem-solving.
