Role Description: The Material Sourcing Specialist is responsible for actively managing the planning and procurement processes of the company, overseeing purchasing activities with a focus on optimization, improvement of flows and storage processes, and reduction of supply costs.
Responsibilities: Knowledge of purchasing procedures and material planning. Management of purchase orders. Sending delivery schedules and managing supplier reminders. Preparation of purchase orders, ensuring delivery times and fulfillment of orders and supply contracts. Negotiation of purchasing conditions and supply contracts. Monitoring purchasing needs while considering production planning and inventory levels. Control of delivery times for supplies. Management of the sampling process and qualification of new suppliers and/or components, interacting with the involved technical departments. Researching new suppliers and managing resourcing and cost reduction projects. Interaction with production managers to verify the alignment of the procurement plan with production needs. Monitoring stock levels and procurement. Ensuring optimal supply levels by implementing the correct replenishment process. Requirements: Knowledge of materials. Excellent command of the Italian and English language. Familiarity with advanced management systems, particularly SAP. Precision, initiative, and analytical and organizational skills. Good interpersonal skills at all levels with internal and external stakeholders. Adaptability and the ability to manage the unexpected. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suite. Degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in a technical field. At least 3 years of experience in a purchasing or material planning department. Optional Requirements: Knowledge of Chinese language will be considered as a plus.
