Country: Italy City: Origgio (Varese) Department: Global Operations Production Job ID: 44046 Material Planner We are looking for a Material Planner for the production plant in Origgio (VA, 30 km from Milan) to join the Supply Chain Team.

The selected figure will be responsible for the purchasing of packaging materials and components necessary for the proper supply of the company's needs in accordance with the production schedule and customer demand.
Your main tasks as Material Planner will be: Processing Analysis of the forecasts received from the customers; Managing and planning of coded materials supplies; Defining the delivery time of materials required for the execution of the Production plan; Issuing Purchase Orders in accordance with MRP needs and monitoring of POs status; Management of material reminder to suppliers, call off management; Master Data maintenance and specifically of planning data (Lead time, MOQ, safety stock, safety lead time, reorder point, BOM, PV and Recipes); Sharing rolling forecasts of purchasing requirements to suppliers; Implementing and updating KPIs to monitor supplier performance, inventory level and obsolescence risks; take corrective actions to mitigate destruction risks.
The ideal candidate has the following characteristics: Bachelor's degree in Management Engineering or Business Administration; Excellent command of the written and spoken English language; Previous experience in managing material planning and purchasing activities; Good knowledge of major computer tools (Office package: Word, Excel, PPT) - Excel in advanced mode; Knowledge of SAP management software and MRP logics; Knowledge of MRP, KANBAN procurement logics; Experience in OPEX improvement projects (inventory, efficiency, etc.
); Relational skills and aptitude for working in cross-functional teams; Result orientation and proactivity; Aptitude for team-work.
