Also, European Driving License is must.
Main Responsibilities: Assess the design / production / in service aspects of engineering assets, using procedures, experience and knowledge appropriate for routine situations.
Be involved in direct surveys of mechanical or electrical parts and components for the use in a maritime or industry environment at manufacturer's works, periodical or initial inspections of manufacturer's works Contribute to the Type Approval Process with basic quality assessments.
Present the deliverable to the internal/external client and come up with solutions as needed.
Comply with the applicable Codes and Standards: LR Rules and Regulations, Specifications and Procedures, IACS Unified Requirements, EN/ISO/IEC Standards or other applicable codes.
Identify additional business opportunities.
The working area is mainly Nort Italy.
Required Qualifications: Degree or equivalent from a tertiary organisation recognised by Lloyd's Register within the relevant field of mechanical Engineer, Naval Architect, Marine Engineer or Qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship's officer.
Preferably minimum three years (3) of working experience in a relevant role.
Sound engineering and manufacturing knowledge.
Ability and willingness for enhancement of your engineering knowledge in a wide range of technology Proficiency in the Italian and English language commensurate with the work.
Knowledge on Vessel Installations including, but not limited to Main Propulsion Equipment and Components (Oil and Gas Engines, Gearing, Diesel-Electric Systems incl.
the required Control Systems, Pressure Equipment, Engine auxiliary Systems and Components) is an advantage Knowledge on Materials, including, but not limited to steel grades, castings, forgings, non-metallic materials etc.
Ability and willingness to further develop knowledge for electrical inspections, NDE or welding techniques.
Ability and willingness to discuss technical and commercial issues internally and externally from workshop level up to top management.
Excellent command (written and oral) in English and Italian language using relevant professional terminology.
European Driving License.
Ability and willingness to travel mainly within the area above and on a case-by-case basis within South Italy and South Europe in general.
Preferred but not required: Previous experience within Marine & Offshore field is highly preferred.
