Master thesis project: Material risk management system Det tilbyder vi:
Increasing awareness of potentially hazardous chemicals used in products has led to an exponential growth in regulations aimed at protecting human health and the environment. They can limit the use of certain substances or impose end-of-life standards for products to promote a circular economy. Compliance with these requirements is fundamental at KION, that's why we are looking for a master student committed to creating a safer and cleaner world to join our team and work with us to develop a material risk management system.
You will be part of the Environmental Product Requirements (EPR) team, the competence centre that manages the environmental requirements on chemicals applicable to products manufactured by KION. These requirements include REACH, RoHS POP, SCIP, WEEE and the Battery Regulation.
The proposed project consists of developing a risk management system related to EPR requirements that will enable our company to identify and manage risks associated with the use of chemicals in our products. You will study the materials that make up products to identify the possible presence of substances restricted by the regulations and classify them into groups according to the likelihood of a risk to be managed. Based on this, you will be able to extrapolate a more general risk management system, which will allow us to focus more attention on the materials most affected by EPR regulations.
If you are a master student in Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Materials Engineering or similar and would like to develop your thesis project in collaboration with KION and its EPR team, this is the project for you.
