About the department: The Marketing Department within BYD Europe is responsible for developing and implementing tailored marketing strategies specific to the European region, and creating comprehensive plans that resonate with the European target audience. Our team works collaboratively to optimize brand visibility, increase market share, and drive business growth within the European market.
As Marketing Manager (Position) you will: The marketing manager reports directly to the Country Manager and has a dotted line to the European Marketing Manager. The Marketing Manager is responsible for building the brand and driving sales in the local market by working closely with the European Marketing team, BYD dealer network, and the BYD regional teams to facilitate the development of robust quarterly marketing plans as part of the marketing plan process.
This role will also take responsibility for ensuring dealer websites, signage, and any marketing materials are up to date and in compliance with BYD CI policy.
This role will also oversee the marketing budget, including the allocation of funds to retailers for marketing activities.
This role will collaboratively work with the European PR and Event team for all activities planned in the local market.
Key Objectives and Responsibilities: Definition of the Country Marketing Plan in line with business objectives and Global Marketing Strategic Guidelines. Plan and lead execution of national events, conducting post-event analysis to understand effectiveness of actions and feed insights internally. Develop and manage regional advertising/digital campaigns across the local market, in conjunction with the appointed agency. Provide digital assets for local market use and ensure usage and support at the time of national-based campaigns. Supervise Dealer Marketing Plans and monitor execution from Dealer Partners. Provide valuable inputs for the construction of the European Marketing Plan and monitor competitor activities (Product & financial benchmarks, monthly installments, new campaigns…). Develop and manage local advertising and PR campaigns in conjunction with the appointed agency with the support of the PR Manager. Take responsibility for steering the marketing budget. Supervise relations with press, media, agencies, and digital influencers in relation to the operational support of the PR Manager, ensuring visibility of the brand and product stories. Conduct post-event analysis to understand effectiveness of actions and feed this information into the marketing plan process. Collaborate with and support the European PR and Events team when planning activities in the local market in relation to the PR Manager. Foster, grow, and nurture relations with digital media and social influencers. Be a brand ambassador and work always with the customer in mind. Actively engage and collaborate on any European event or activity as needed. Your profile: Solid experience in the automotive industry or branded retail products. 5+ years of experience in roles related to marketing management in the automotive business. Excellent digital skills. Customer-oriented mindset. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Able to prioritize and work proactively with efficient time management skills. Resilient and open-minded. Results-oriented. Ability to work to deadlines, hands-on approach, motivated to achieve results. Effective and eloquent communicator in English & Italian language mandatory (other European languages and/or Mandarin Chinese would be a plus).
