Within the Energy Carriers Business Line, the Civil Department is looking for aMaritime Works Engineer.The Marine Works teams are composed by different Departments professionals that cooperate during the Project development, such as civil and structural experts, technical and project managers, marine hydraulic specialists and construction engineers.AsMaritime Works Engineer, in the multidisciplinary Marine project environment, you will conduct the following activitiesPerform technical tasks assigned by the Project Leader, related with marine structures concept and design, verification and checking activities, in order to ensure compliance with project requirements in terms of budget, time schedule and quality standards.Interface with the other discipline specialistsProvide technical support to Maritime Works Leader and/or Technical and Project Management in technical interface with Client.Review Contract documentation and requirements.Develop layout of maritime structuresPrepare sketches for studies and pre-design of maritime works, pursuing objectivies of sound design practice and optimizes in term of costs, fabrication simplicity and safetyPrepare MTOs and BOQsPrepare Design Specifications for concrete and steel design either for foundation systems and superstructurePrepare Material Specifications for Marine Structures construction materialsLiaise with Construction Method Department for set-up of the construction sequence to check maritime structures during both temporary and operational phasesCheck and approve subcontracted engineering documents.Develop studies and calculation notesPrepare the scope of work and technical documentation for Marine Works contractsProvide technical support for field construction and provide assistance for any engineering adjustments on site.Undertake site visits and travel, as well as mid-to-long term assignment abroad as requiredStay updated with the latest industry trends, codes, and technologies, and apply them to optimize project outcomesWriting proposals, planning, and running of small to medium projectsNice to HaveProven experience in the design of marine structures, such as quay, jetty, and berthing structures, pile decks, caissons, block walls, dolphins, etc.Knowledge about port equipment, mooring systems and navigationBasic knowledge of geotechnical software and tools for the design of piles foundations and retaining structures (PARATIE, AMRETAIN), and familiarity with input and output from software for slopes stability and FEM analysis (SLOPE, PLAXIS, etc.
