Industrialization and standardization of new activities within the RINA Marine Consulting (RMC) portfolio, organizing both technical and administrative aspects.
Studying new rules and regulations applicable to the marine sector and identifying opportunities for clients.
Supporting the review of draft technical and commercial proposals for main contracts and new activities.
Monitoring ongoing projects in RMC for technical and administrative progress.
Supporting Regional Directors in the examination and selection of external suppliers.
Managing special projects as Project Manager and technical expert.
Projects of RINA Marine Consulting encompass all aspects of the marine sector, from decarbonization to newbuilding surveillance, structural analysis, ship propulsion analysis, and optimization.
Key Accountabilities Deep knowledge of International Rules, Flag Administration Rules, and regulations (e.g., USCG, MSA, Italy).
Knowledge of classification societies' rules and IACS structures, including their updating and implementation processes.
Understanding of ISO and IEC standards applicable to the marine sector.
Developing and reviewing hull structural, stability, machinery, and systems projects for compliance with Class Rules and Statutory Regulations.
Experience in Classification and Statutory surveys for various ship types, preferably Cruise/passenger ships and special purpose ships.
Assisting clients during design and construction phases with technical guidance.
Performing structural machinery and systems assessments and providing specialist advice.
Reviewing project deliverables for quality and completeness.
Ensuring correct data usage and documentation submission to clients.
Understanding and applying project management concepts, providing feedback to the project manager.
Education Master's Degree in Naval Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Qualifications Experience in Classification Services as Surveyor, Technician, or in plan approval matters.
Fluent in English, with a focus on marine sectors, both spoken and written.
One or more of the following: Sailing experience on board ships as officer or technical responsible.
Shipowner superintendent or responsible for technical staff.
Shipyard experience as technical lead on projects.
Flag Administration technician/inspector.
Classification Society surveyor.
