For theHeadquarterlocated in Milan, Italy, we are seeking a Marine Installation Engineer to join our team.The successful candidate will be responsible for office-based engineering work andoffshore execution on all marine installation sites activities for submarine cable installation projects on an international scale.This role requires a balance of technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to adapt to different working environments.Your role:Installation Engineering:· Prepare Installation Documentation: operative procedures, calculations, drawings, plans, time schedules, and risk assessments for cable installation activities,· Define, select, prepare Installation Assets: appropriate vessels, burial machines, and general installation equipment.· Technical responsibility in Subcontractor Selection and supervision: preparing specifications for technical documents in the request for quotation.
Supervision during the installation phase.· Quality, Health and Safety, Environment, and Company Asset Care: must ensure compliance with company policies, requirements, and best practices.
· Client Relationship: interaction and coordination with clients' representatives on site· Interface with Company Departments: such as Installation Department, Project Management, Manufacturing, System Engineering, Quality is required.· Interaction and involvement with Project Clients: discussing technical, planning, and operative aspects.Marine Operation - Offshore Installation Sites:This part of the role covers the operative execution on all marine installation sites activities for a Project.
The activity is carried out on installation vessels or more in general, on other marine installation sites, such as landing points, offshore platforms, etc.Preliminary Works: coordinate the preparation of the site for cable installation, including route clearance, PLGR, pre-lay burial runs, and mobilization of vessels.Managing and monitoring the Installation Process: oversees and managesthe cable loading, laying, and burial processes ensuring that these operations are carried out correctly and according to plan.The successful candidate:Preferred Bachelor's or Master's Degrees in Engineering Technology or other Engineering related subjects.Preferable but not mandatory experience in a role involved in installation of submarine cable but more in general in the construction, Oil & Gas, Offshore industry.
