Caterpillar Mec-Track - Valsamoggia (Bologna)
**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate CPPD ( _Collaborative Product and Process Development _) and NPI ( _New Product Introduction _) activities, while facilitating the discussion with a US Design team, managing the internal prioritization, leading the discussion across the multiple entities (Supply Chain, Operation, Purchasing, Manufacturing Eng., Finance, etc.)
and working proactively to remove roadblocks
- Lead the effort for product cost monitoring and cost reduction opportunities identification and implementation.
- Lead and supervise a small team of professionals
- Work with international teams on specific projects (e.g.
resourcing, cost reductions, etc.
)
- Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time
**Basic Requirements**:
- Good English level (B2 level minimum)
- Good understanding of the manufacturing process associated with the rolling components manufacturing (forging, casting, machining, heat treatment, grinding, polishing, assembling)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Management engineering or equivalent title
- At least five years experience in the Manufacturing Engineering space
- Prior experience and knowledge of lean concepts and tools
- APQP process understanding (PPAP, PFMEA, etc.
)
- Project management skills

- Master's Degree or higher in in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Management engineering or equivalent title
- Excellent leadership skills to effectively lead improvements making the best use of available resources, while maintaining a strong people focus and fulfilling the responsibilities for leading people
- Ability to understand Caterpillar policies and procedures and solid product/manufacturing process knowledge
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Knowledge or and/or experience deploying and using 6Sigma Project Management
- Previous experience managing people or good leadership attributes
