We are now looking for a colleague to join our team in Tognana, Italy as a Manufacturing Engineer. Position Summary Vertiv is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer.
In this role, you will be managing the layout and improvement of Thermal Management production lines, applying Lean Manufacturing principles, with the objective to optimize manufacturing time and costs and improve quality.
What you'll do? As a key team player, your responsibilities include:
Develops, designs and plans equipment and machine layouts, workflow, and safety precautions to maximize utilization of plant and manufacturing facilities;Ensures compliance with established industry safety and design standards and guidelines;Evaluates worker productivity and recommends improvements to increase manpower efficiency and operating performance, reduce waste and delays, and promote cost control/reductions;Develops metrics to measure plant and equipment capacity output, and identify equipment and process flow bottlenecks;Collaborates at manufacturing facilities and related structures improvement;Collaborates at facility specifications, including analysis and evaluation of location, material resources, and structural design;Provides technical support for production, resolves technical problems and recommends production improvements;Prepares jigs and fixtures proposals for production;Cooperates with and provides feedback to R&D groups in order to respect and prepare Design for manufacturing and Assembly.What makes you successful? Bring your passion and expertise with:
Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering;At least 2 years working experience in a similar role;Knowledge of 3D CAD systems (SolidEdge, CREO);Knowledge of ERP systems BOMs, RTGs (Oracle is an advantage);To support, also with transfer/travel, other sites of the Vertiv group including plants abroad;English language: intermediate.The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principles & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.
