Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa's clients, including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants.
Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients.
The VCA team in Italy provides a comprehensive range of consulting services and data solutions to our clients that address unique challenges in wide range of card business such as strategic growth, digital & product strategy and card life cycle management.
We are currently looking for a Manager to work as a key member of the project team, delivering the end recommendation for the client.
Typically, 3 – 5 months in duration and running in parallel, potential projects could include strategy developments, portfolio management diagnostics, assessments of digital product and marketing strategies, product design and launch, development of industry landscape evaluations to inform payments strategies, and optimisation of client customer experience and supporting processes.
What we expect of you, day to day.
Support the sales/delivery of consulting projects, ensuring the project achieves the required outcomes to a defined deadline.
Develops and maintains the project plan, content scope and final deliverables for larger projects namely: Prepare presentations and reports Conduct data analysis Review relevant reports and information sources Conduct benchmarking from different internal/external sources and desktop research Effectively communicate and liaise project findings with internal and external stakeholders at various levels of seniority and function Supports Managing Consultant to source new work.
Liaises with other parts of the Visa Europe business where appropriate for projects scoping and completion (e.g.
the RM, BD and sales team).
Serves as a day-to-day client contact, regularly liaising with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Identifies process improvements including repeatable and scalable solutions and shares knowledge and expertise with team members as required.
Delivers reports and presentations communicating recommended approaches, often with the support of Consultants and Analysts in preparing these deliverables This is a hybrid position.
Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office.
Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 3 set days a week, with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

For this role the key skills required are... BS/BA is required (preferably economics, finance or business), or hold equivalent professional experience.
6 to 10 years of consulting experience in banking and payments (preferably client-facing experience).
Knowledge of the Italian Payments ecosystem.
Excellent Business Analysis Skills (research and analyse market and client information to tell a story).
Commercial Acumen – being able to spot an opportunity and drive value for Visa and the Client.
Self-starter and attention to detail.
Knowledge of the payments business – in particular acquiring - and/or financial services (financial technology will be a plus).
Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders at various levels within the business.
Excellent (creative) PowerPoint skills.
Excellent report writing skills (ability to tell a simple 'story' involving complex issues).
Excellent understanding of transactional data and data sources.
Advanced data skills (ability to use Excel, databases and data manipulation)- Fluent in written and spoken English and Italian.
