3. SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Direction-setting & Governance
Researches and documents related policies, strategies, and guidelines as reference for the review and updating of policies, strategies, and guidelines. Gathers, consolidates, and analyzes data on the effectiveness of current policies, strategies, and guidelines. Recommends priority areas for updating or improvement. Creates, maintains, and updates a database or tracker of career and succession management initiatives for the organization. Summarizes, analyzes data, and submits status reports. Program Design and Execution
General Research: Researches and documents related programs and projects as reference for the design of programs and projects. Database Management & Analytics: Tracks, analyzes data and prepares an update including summary statistics on talent review, assessment, and development results including actions taken on High Potentials/Possible Successors. Coordinates with and provides data to concerned HR units for alignment. Vendor Management: Conducts initial review of contracts/Memoranda of Agreement and consults with the legal units as needed including identification of risks. Partners with third-party service providers/consultants and concerned units to facilitate completion of administrative requirements. Resource Management: Prepares, tracks budget of the team and flags overspending, underspending, or need for realignments. Promotion to Managerial and Executive Levels
Drives end-to-end implementation of promotion selection process. Reviews the promotion process and recommends improvements as needed. Assists in the orientation on the promotion process and any changes in it. Acts as resource person on the promotion process. Career Maps and Career Pathing
Assists in the creation and updates career maps in consultation with the Compensation and Benefits unit, HRBPs, and concerned groups. Ensures updating of functional competencies contained in Job Descriptions in partnership with various groups and concerned HR units. Tracks and analyzes data on career aspiration and career movement options indicated in the EDC Performance Planning, Assessment, Coaching & Evaluation (PACE) Prepares data for career discussions, coaching, and talent reviews. Talent Review
Creates and updates materials for talent reviews with top management including individual profiles in coordination with concerned HR units. Orients and assists Section Heads/Supervisors in conducting talent reviews. Assists Line Managers and Section Heads/Supervisors in identifying and updating critical positions, success profiles of critical positions, and the list of High Potentials/Possible Successors for supervisory, PT & RF positions. Conducts talent review discussions as necessary. Talent Assessment
Spearheads administration of talent assessment tools under the direction of senior Career & Succession Management specialists. Interprets, gives feedback and coaches Section Heads/Supervisors on the results of assessment tools. Guides Section Heads/Supervisors in assessing employees' demonstration of required competencies for a target role/level. Assists Section Heads/Supervisors and/or concerned employees in preparing or updating Individual Development Plans. Talent Development
In partnership with the line manager, concerned employee and in consultation with senior Career & Succession Management Specialists, designs and implements development intervention projects. Coordinates with the Learning & Development unit on formal training needs of High Potentials from among Section Heads/Supervisors. Provides inputs on the design of training programs as necessary. Tracks High Potential performance during the formal training and in application opportunities. About Us
