Job Description As an Engineering Manager, you supervise and lead a local team of software engineers in the execution of customer projects for Electrical Power Steering software development.
You provide technical guidance and you set the standard in the team for engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
Lead a software engineering team for Electrical Power Steering customer projects.
Enable self-organizing teams to deliver product in an agile environment.
Mentor, coach and provide career development opportunities.
Provide guidance and coordination to the team and contribute to improvement of problem-solving abilities.
Provide vision, and organizational structure while encouraging personnel development.
Manage budget and resource allocation to meet regional and customer goals
Demonstrate drive for solving customer problems and cascade this drive across the team.
Support the definition of the global softwarestrategy and roadmap.
Support technical reviews and effort estimation for acquisition activities
Foster an environment for high performance culture, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Connect and contribute to the global software community.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant engineering degree
8+ years of experience in automotive embedded software development
Experience leading technical projects or leading a team of engineers
Working knowledge and deep understanding of software development lifecycle and processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information
Preferred:
Decision making abilities in complex, highly dynamic situations
A passion for mentoring and people management
Proven problem solving, analytical skills and innovative thinking.
Experience with AUTOSAR architecture and configuration tools
Experience in development for a safety critical system (ISO 26262)
Experience in developing software according to ASPICE or CMMI
Experience with cyber security features
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
