The Royal Caribbean Group's Supply Chain Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Procurement Manager reporting to the Director Procurement F&B and Hotel.
This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida. Position Summary: The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the staff engaged in fulfilling the goals and objectives of the Procurement function. The Procurement Manager is responsible for the direct management of categories assigned, including development of procurement strategy and objectives in line with Company Brand requirements. The role is responsible for the sourcing, negotiation, and contracting of all products in the assigned categories.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage the Hotel category spend; identify relevant products' stakeholders and usage; evaluate comparable products and performance. Coordinate Buyer/TCS resources according to Category Sourcing strategies agreed with senior management, ensuring the highest value creation savings and cost avoidance. Provide guidance to the Procurement Director on medium-long run procurement strategies on the category of competence. Identify potential new categories and commodities trends to split the product/vendor portfolio in actionable sections to bring savings or product improvements. Monitor market trends to capitalize on raw material volatility opportunities and long-term planning. Renew contracts at convenient timings and periodically re-bid existing product range and vendors. Ensure the TCO analysis (Total Cost of Ownership), quantifying the impact and lifespan of any investment and reporting accordingly. Produce scenarios and forecasts on all pursuable options and present findings to management and executives. Constantly monitor market trends and inflation trends and set up team sourcing strategies accordingly. Own the fleet expenditure and the product range pricings and timings, ensuring no disruption is recorded when the Supply Chain department releases orders. Responsible for Executive reporting for Hotel Category sourcing; ensure full tracking of all performed activities and ensure clear and solid data view. Maintain a procurement and negotiation strategy based on multiple and often complex variables. Negotiate price, availability, transportation, and delivery schedule. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather, sort, and address needs regarding new implementations, discontinued products, and range widening. Align with RCG peers on product specs and adoption, identifying possible cost savings or quality improvements. Coordinate with other Procurement Managers/Sr. Managers for cross-category projects. Manage Risks & Ensure Contractual Integrity by ensuring full signature of T&C's and Item Specifications before awarding business. Perform complex price analysis of multiple variables. Expert use of analysis, forecasting, problem-solving, and quality improvement to develop strategies for dynamic market conditions. Negotiate purchase price, terms of payment, and contractual conditions to achieve the lowest economical cost consistent with quality, service, and operational performance requirements identified. Attend industry trade shows and conferences. Measure and evaluate supplier on-time delivery performance. Qualifications Knowledge & Skills: 8+ years related procurement experience or specialized technical experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent required in related field. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities. Negotiation and analytical skills required. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from suppliers and all levels of staff and management, both shipboard and shoreside. We know there is a lot to consider.
