Johnson and Johnson is recruiting for a Manager, Global Clinical Operations (GCO) Learning & Training, Learning and Instructional Design located in various locations globally. Remote work options may be considered on a case-by-case basis and if approved by the Company.
The Clinical Trial Learning & Training (CTL&T) organization develops and implements training strategy and design for clinical trial training and for GCO functional role-based global onboarding programs. This includes determining training needs, developing, and implementing strategic learning initiatives, and using resources to deploy the training plan.
The Manager, GCO Learning & Training [Learning and Instructional Design] creates, defines, and drives learning strategy, techniques, and process capabilities to enable industry leading approach for training of GCO clinical trial teams and sites. This includes creating and enhancing functional role-based training programs for best-in-class training across the globe.
Key Responsibilities:Understand intended training roles and skills to connect training content and approaches to delivery as part of onboarding and development activities of trainees.Support the design, development, deployment, and administration of training programs that support internal business objectives.Facilitate the overall training needs assessment with various teams to define training plans with clear learning objectives.Design and develop innovative, comprehensive curriculums applying advanced design/development techniques and principles of adult learning theory.Identify, oversee, and partner with external vendors and developers when needed.Provide consultation guidance, feedback, and support to Subject Matter Experts through the course design process.Define measures to assess, monitor, and report on the effectiveness and impact of training interventions.Manage multiple learning projects and potential to manage an internal or external team of learning professionals required to design and deliver learning solutions.Coach and mentor peers within the CTL&T organization in the principles of adult learning, new learning capabilities and services, and training strategies.QualificationsEducation:A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Instructional Design, Training, Instructional Technology, or Education.Experience and Skills:Required:A minimum of 8+ years of business experience working in education and/or a design and development role is required.Experience creating consultative business partnerships and leading large-scale training initiatives is required.Excellent leadership, collaboration, organizational, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills are required.Effective consulting and influencing skills, a track record of developing solid relationships with internal clients, problem solving skills, and strong project management and vendor management skills are required.Experience with training delivery methods is required: e-learning, virtual, or mobile.Comprehensive knowledge of current instructional theories and principles applicable to both online and instructor-led learning programs is required.Ability to apply instructional design theories and adult learning principles in the design and development of blended learning approaches and solutions is required.Preferred:Pharmaceutical industry or medical experience is preferred.Experience with organizational change management is preferred.Other:Demonstrates a strong track record of leading by example across various levels in their current organization.Ability to adhere to the guidelines of Health Care Compliance.The anticipated base pay range for this position is $113,000 to $195,500.
