YOUR ROLE You will be a key contributor to SiC Technology volume ramp-up in ST. The work location will be in the new mass production fab in Catania for the manufacturing of devices on SiC substrates. This facility is a first of a kind in Europe for the production in volume of 8" SiC devices, integrating all steps in the production flow.
Your main task will be to support production activities through maximizing up-time and performance of critical process equipment. In the early stages of the new Fab, special focus will be on the start-up and qualification of equipment to support the capacity ramp-up.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Perform regular equipment checks, calibrations, and characterization. Perform routine preventive or corrective maintenance. Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment according to operating manuals and procedures. Support installation and qualification of new tool sets according to planned schedule. Work closely with equipment/process engineers to support operations and improve tool up-time availability and utilization efficiency. Identify potential opportunities for hardware capability enhancement. Support production as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities: Upper secondary school degree in technical subjects, e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Mechatronics. Ability to read and understand operating manuals, diagrams, and schematics. Accuracy, attention to detail, and good manual skills. Fluent English is a plus. Experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team. Commitment, proactivity, and curiosity.
