Job Description IRBM is seeking a skilled professional to join the Engineering, Maintenance and Technical Services Department.
Reporting directly to the Unit Director, the selected candidate will will oversee and coordinate maintenance programs (both planned and unplanned activities) for a diverse range of scientific equipment.
Key responsibilities: Develop technical specifications and user requirements for maintenance programs, maintenance contracts, and assigned projectsCoordinate and ensure the overall scheduling and execution of maintenance activities, performed by internal resources and \ or by external contractorsPrepare and manage work order plans and works orders for maintenance tasksEnsure timely execution of preventive maintenance programsSupervise external contractors involved in the repair and preventive maintenance of scientific equipmentImplement a preventive maintenance strategy to support the company's business continuity goalsManage the full equipment life cycle through CMMS (Microsoft Navision Dynamics)Support the Unit Director in budget preparation and strategizing to optimize maintenance costsMonitor costs and track changesCollaborate with IT to maintain and update the infrastructure where computerized scientific equipment is installedEnsure efficient spare parts management and inventory controlGenerate periodic maintenance reports, including KPI analysisNew equipment introduction:Assist the Unit Director in preparing annual budgets (CAPEX) for the acquisition of new scientific equipment, according to the investment planOversee project execution activities, coordinating contractors, as well as internal and external resourcesEnsure milestone achievement for annual programs including procurement, installation, commissioning, startup, and training)Facilitate maintenance handover to scientific equipment techniciansReview and archive technical documentationCompetencies and skills: Expertise in scientific equipment and metrologyExtensive experience in the installation, commissioning and startup of scientific equipmentAnalytical mindset with high attention to detailResults-driven personality with a focus on meeting deadlinesExcellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficientlyProblem solving abilities and resilience when working under pressureExperience in GMP environments (qualification & validation, including computerized systems life cycle management) is a plusThe ideal candidate must meet the following requirements:
A degree in engineering degree (mechatronic, electronic, electrical, mechanical, automation or information technology)At least 10 years of experience in the sectorProficiency in English (written and spoken), to be verified through hoc tests and interviews during the selection processCompetence with the MS Office package (Outlook; Excel; PowerPoint; Word)Basic knowledge of AutoCADFamiliarity with CMMS software, prior experience with Microsoft Navision Dynamics is a plusFoundational knowledge of GMP (qualification & validation, including computer system validation) is a plus.Location
