What you will do The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing and developing Maintenance Team in order to improve corrective and planned maintenance practices to increase production lines performance.
Key Responsibilities • Ensure compliance with the rules and procedures of the maintenance process in relation to the specific peculiarities of the Business Units.
• Guarantee, in compliance with the standards, the execution of corrective and planned maintenance interventions and continuous improvement activities, in order to maintain the correct efficiency of the production machines/equipment.
• Supervise the technical maintenance staff in order to improve their professional level and ensure the maximum efficiency of the department, ensuring their effective intervention to fix breakdowns • coordinate the analysis and resolution of complex problems in the area of origin (man/technology area) and support as a team member the analysis of complex problems managed by the area's Processes Improvement Engineers.
• Manage the development of assigned resources including the individual performance management cycle, collaborate with the area production manager for the deployment of autonomous line group management teams.
• Coordinate and supervise, directly or through the technical maintenance staff, the external companies so that they carry out the work in compliance with the established technical guidelines and safety standards.
• Develop and monitor metrics for monitoring the reliability and maintainability of machine performance.
• Ensure the presence at the productivity meetings of the departments by identifying and defining together with the production staff the appropriate actions aimed at reducing the unplanned breakdowns of individual equipment.
• Contribute to the elaboration of daily, weekly and monthly maintenance schedules of the machines through the analysis of loss data, the close collaboration with the Reliability team and Production departments, having the direct responsibility for ensuring compliance with the execution of the schedule of planned activities and the timely notification to the production and planning departments of any exceptional event that should prevent it.
• Contribute to the management of the spare parts warehouse, in order to optimize stocks and ensure the availability of parts and the management of obsolescence.
• Ensure the adequacy of human resources' skills through periodic assessments to identify effective and timely management, training, skills and motivation development solutions.
• Support the technical staff in the use of the CMMS system aimed at managing the work orders of the maintenance department.
• Support and manage plant projects, in accordance with their area of responsibility and experience, from the development of basic requirements to the complete implementation, in compliance with investment plans, of contractual and safety constraints adhering to current regulations on safety at work.
• Check that personnel behave safely, that the conditions of the working environment, machinery and installations are healthy and safe.
• Check that the internal procedures and rules on the Environment, Safety and Occupational Hygiene are known, applied and respected by the staff.
• Ensure that staff carry out the health surveillance and training required for the job.
• Ensure the updating of one's own technical and general knowledge and that of all the people in one's area of responsibility through timely and continuous technical training.
• Ensure the correct creation, application and updating of SOPs in line with Compliance and GMP regulations.
What we are looking for Required Qualifications • Bachelor or master's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Desired Qualifications • At least 4/5 years' experience in global Manufacturing companies • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization; • Previous experience in resource and/or project management; • Knowledge of TPM principles • Knowledge of the Maximo CMMS system.
