Your 'day to day' As Maintenance Lead you will be part of our Production Department for Philip Morris Manufacturing Technology Bologna S.p.A. and will be reporting to the Line Lead.
The position will be based in Bologna.
In your role, a key responsibility will be to execute and lead the processes for eliminating losses related to maintenance and breakdowns at the lowest cost as well as building capability in the team to support in delivering the business result of the assigned lines fully applying PMI standards and policies.
You will act as the lines owner of breakdown elimination, maintenance planning and scheduling and maintenance cost management Daily Management Systems (DMS), being the technical expert in problem solving and on floor troubleshooting.
Finally, you will contribute to define and deploy a predictive/preventive maintenance system in the lines.
Your Responsibilities: Ensure compliance to all PMI and legal standards, policies and guidelines related to Environment, Health, Safety, Sustainability to prevent personnel, asset or societal loss.
Act and promote an interdependent and transparent safety culture fostering the utilization of preventive/predictive approach.
Participate to Daily Direction Setting (DDS), provide inputs and actions related to any maintenance activities and tasks to be completed during the following planned downtime and about Repair and Maintenance (RM) cost measure and actions.
Contribute as technical subject matter expert to problem-solving activities coaching on standard problem solving tools to solve the problems on the line(s) related to materials and processes.
Lead the scheduling and participate in the execution of the regular planned downtime in compliance with maintenance tasks.
Ensure maintenance of technical documentation and spare parts are available and up to date.
Participate in developing, executing and reviewing the 90 days master plan in order to drive breakthrough result in machine performance through reducing planned and unplanned downtime.
Prepare monthly and yearly Loss Analysis for Repair and Maintenance cost and propose and monitor budgets and RFs.
Promote and validate Kaizens raised by teams by executing adequate risk assessments as technical expert.
Communicate in timely manner on loss elimination priorities, plans and responsibilities to ensure cross-functional alignment.
Share knowledge and methods to encourage and foster benchmarking, reapplication and continuous improvement.
Requirements Skills: Technical School (Secondary Technical School or Technical University).
At least 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, preferably in industries like: tobacco, pharmaceutical, chemical or similar.
Previous experience or exposure to people coordination/management activities would be an asset.
Strong communication, negotiation, ability to coach, technology business process acumen, deal with ambiguity, managerial courage, result oriented, project management.
Fluent in English both written and spoken.
