Machine Learning / Digital Pathology Postdoc, Human Technopole, Milan

My group is looking for a postdoctoral researcher interested / experienced in machine learning applied to large, in-house digital pathology datasets.
We are keen to develop better diagnostic and prognostic models for a range of diseases using diagnostic biopsies with follow-up clinical data.
We have generated a large digital pathology collection from individuals that are either healthy (e.g.
received no positive diagnosis post biopsy) and Inflammatory Bowel Disease derived colonic tissue.
In addition, we pair such data with germline genotyping, spatial transcriptomics and other digital pathology imaging modalities, such as multiplexed IF and IHC staining.
As well as predictive models, we want to understand the genetic basis of histomorphological variation and how that relates to the genetics of common, complex diseases, like IBD.
We are a small group of 5, growing to 8 next year.
The position is at Human Technopole in Milan, Italy.
