**Mission**
The Logistics Specialist is responsible to manage and coordinate the domestic or international movement of assets, products, and materials upon the request of the Business Line.
They optimize equipment utilization, select the most cost-effective routings and MoTs and plan / book these shipments with approved carriers and 3PLs, comply with the selection of preferred contracted carriers or internal fleet, and secure delivery as per the established service level.
**Essential Responsibilities**
- Manage and coordinate the domestic or international movement of assets, products, and materials upon the request of the Company.
- Validate transport requests and required delivery dates for a defined geographic region to achieve on-time delivery.
- Select the most cost-effective routings and plan / book these shipments with approved carriers comply with the selection of preferred contracted carriers or internal fleet, and secure delivery as per the established service level.
- Monitor shipment execution, track shipment movements and manage deviations with our logistics suppliers while keep internal stakeholders updated.
Identify logistics network improvement projects or opportunities.
- Ensure full compliance of transports with the international transport regulations ensuring compliance of all services and transactions to all applicable Company and regulatory guidelines (including but not limited to, land transport guidelines, HSE policies, local and international regulations and dangerous goods requirements).
- Ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products.
- Review, obtain and maintain License Rules applied in country.
- Liaise with customs and local authorities for daily operational issues.
- Implement and/ or supports logistics cost-saving initiatives
- Create Sales Order and Invoice
**Basic Requirements**
- University Degree in Management Engineering or Economics with major in Logistics, or equivalent work experience
- Good knowledge of fundamental lean tools and concepts (VSM, 5S, Std Work, Continuous Flow, etc.
)
- Previous Experience with ERP systems (eg.
SAP and Oracle)
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Project, etc.
)
- Fluent in English and Italian
