About the role The Logistics department takes care of the inbound of all the vehicles that are imported from HQ and other factories in Europe, as well as the distribution of those products within whole European countries. The Logistics department is responsible for finding the best solutions for all logistics problems in the automotive division. The logistics role is key to the success of fulfilling customer orders.
Logistics Specialist key responsibility areas will be: Effective communication with all company departments in Europe, logistics colleagues from BYD China HQ, and external communication with LSP (Logistics Service Providers) and dealers; Operations within different systems used for process control for the movement of cargo or for finance control, such as CRM, ERP, or SAP systems; Organize and provide real-time information for the POs and deliveries; Continuous improvement of the whole logistics flow; Control logistics costs and provide the most efficient logistics solutions. As a Logistics Specialist you will: Daily communication with colleagues, Italian dealers, and LSPs; Arrange Italian local transport as well as transport from EU ports to the Italian compound by selecting the most suitable suppliers and methods (trucking, shipping, or both); Daily contact with local logistics service partners to follow up on the real-time status of shipments/transportations; Keep track of all sales demands, shipments, and prepare all necessary documents and payments; Arrange commercial documents (invoices, etc.) to be delivered to and handled by related parties; Daily data maintenance and updates with systems and without systems (e.g., Excel); Participate and assist in setting up the BYD logistics supplier list; Involved in monthly review meetings with logistics suppliers; Handle related paperwork for internal and external purposes; Monitor potential problems and bottlenecks and explore ways to improve workflow; Provide support to all procedures when needed. We hope you have: Preferably up to 3 years of automotive-related working experience or a graduate of a related study field; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, data analysis, or business management; Proficient Excel user skills; Excellent Italian and English language skills; Chinese or any other European language will be considered an advantage; Stress-resilient with a problem-solving mindset; Team player with attention to detail.
