The activity of NAS domain: avionics, navigation and radar systems for civil air traffic and technologies supporting the activities of civilian and military pilots, ATC controllers and technicians of several airlines, air traffic control agencies and Air Force around the world.
Italy is the Group's Competence center for the design, production and delivery of Navigation Aids products and Competence Centre for the delivery of non-Radar Surveillance Products.
**_JOB OBJECTIVE _**
The job purpose is to plan and execute logistics flow from the Italian warehouse to all Thales customers worldwide, ensuring operations effectiveness, service level accuracy and transportation efficiencies.
The Logistics Specialist is responsible to collect, check and produce all necessary documentation for import/export activities.
**_KEY RESPONSIBILITIES _**
**_- _**Management and negotiation of current carriers' tariffs (air, sea, truck);
- Responsible for coordinating and organizing the shipment of goods to customers, respecting the times and quantities required.
- Creation of all delivery and export documents, respecting the relevant export and customs regulations.
- Coordination of Project Deliveries with PM.
- Cooperate with the Logistics partners (mainly 3PLs) to ensure the alignment of all Logistics processes within the warehouse.
- Manage logistics suppliers invoicing and relevant disputes.
- Manage Letter of Credit documentation.
**_SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS _**
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a logistics project driven environment.
- English and Italian Knowledge is mandatory; a third language is a plus.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of ERP system like OCM, SAP.
- In-depth knowledge of "customs" regulations.
- Well organized, self-motivated, focused on meeting deadlines and able to multitask within a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to work under stress, and to cover strict, short deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with both internal and external customers.
