As the Logistic Manager for the Industrial Business Segment (OEM, Industrial and Packaging Business Units) in Italy, you will lead, control and be accountable for the activities covering all aspects of storage and movement of goods to both internal and external customers within the agreed guidelines and policies.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the Logistics Activity by providing functional & operational expertise in the market including best practice and industry trends.
- Drive continuous improvement through identification, management and delivery of projects ensuring best practice sharing through regular communications with all stakeholders.
- Manage 3rd party logistics providers together with the Central Logistics Function to ensure required logistics service at optimum costs by developing, implementing and monitoring performance through use of standardized KPI's
- Active participation in tender / RFQ preparations with GSM supporting selection, negotiation, and successful introduction of logistics operators.
- Manage the on-site logistics team.
**Qualifications**
- At least 5 years relevant experience in logistics management
- Degree in engineering or logistics related discipline is desirable.
- Project management skills with experience in managing and driving change.
- Good communication, presentation and analytical skills
- Ability to lead, influence and build strong working relationships.
- High level of written and spoken English
- Available to travel. 30%
