Position Summary Plan and control all warehouse related activities, to drive warehouse performances optimization by:
ensuring required storage and loading capacitydriving service level improvement to customers and carriersoptimizing handling and storage costsA day in the life of a Warehouse Planner Build Finished Products and Pack Materials Inbound Flows forecast over the medium-long term horizon, adjusting the forecast on the short term for changes on the factories production and line loading plans, to plan and ensure required unloading capacity to follow inbound flows peaks.Build Finished Products Outbound Flows forecast over the medium-long term horizon, adjusting the forecast on the short term for changes on the demand, to plan and ensure required loading capacity to serve Customers and Carriers.On the short term, manage outbound flows loading grid, ensuring the required capacity for each market/warehouse with the adequate flexibility to increase service level, and take corrective actions to cover exceptional requirements (extra loading slots).Control Loading time and Truck Turn Time based on the appointment grid, to drive the improvement for all markets and carriers, supporting the 3PL supplier to find improvement opportunities and reduce idle time both for carriers and forklift drivers, thus improving service level and reducing handling costs.Plan and control Loading Docks Capacity utilization, to ensure required capacity and flexibility optimizing assets rotation (Docks).Plan and control Truck Parking Capacity utilization, to ensure required capacity and flexibility optimizing assets rotation (Yard - Parkings).Define and periodically review the ABC stock policy, adjusting according to stock profile or products portfolio/innovation products, and by order profile, with the aim to optimize storage capacity saturation and increase most efficient storage location rotations to optimize handling productivity.Define and periodically review the warehouse Bin Capacity, Put-Away and Retrieval Strategies for existing and new products, with the aim to optimize storage capacity saturation and increase most efficient storage location rotations to optimize handling productivity, optimizing forklifts routing.Proactively cooperate with different functions (Factory Supply Planning, IMSP, Export and Local Demand Management and Customer Service, T-HUB) to analyze medium term stock forecast by market to ensure required storage capacity.Monitor warehouse ageing stock, in order to proactively cooperate with DSP team to ensure freshness of products and reduce Bad Goods, and ensure flawless execution through 3PL suppliers of timely destruction.What will make you successful Strong analytical skillsAbility to influenceAbility to balance/challenge conflicting objectivesAble to see the bigger picture beyond the scope of their roleAble to challenge the status quoPosition Snapshot Background in Economics or EngineeringFluent in Italian and EnglishFixed-term contract (1 year) with future possibilitiesNestlé welcomes people with disabilities
