The Lobby Ambassador creates a strong sense of arrival for hotel, restaurant and banquet guests in the lobby area. Working closely with the Concierge, Guest Experience, Guest Relations and Front Office teams, our Lobby Ambassador will ensure a memorable first and last impression of the Hotel is of the highest quality.
Main responsibilities Greets guests who arrive to the lobby and welcomes them to the hotel. Greets all guests passing through Front Door and offers them assistance; gives verbal greeting to guests arriving on foot. Assists customers with all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, etc. Knows the VIPs in house, VIP arrivals and VIP departures of the day. Oversees and monitors the transfer arrivals and departures. Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism including guest complaints, accommodates special requests whenever possible; Becomes a true expert of the hotel's daily operations, the hotel surroundings and is fully conscious of any road closures, demonstrations and major events happening in town. Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. Works closely with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests. Requirements Previous experience in similar and/or related fields in a 5* Hotel preferred. Fluent English and additional languages desirable. PERSONAL PROFILE Ensures a team spirit and working discipline. Make sure that all rules and regulations according to Belmond guidelines are in use. Displays emotional maturity and sensitivity in dealing with others. Organised and demonstrates good planning skills. Operates with integrity and objectivity at all times.
