Your 'day to day':
As Line Lead (Tobacco Processing) you will be part of our Manufacturing Department for Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna S.p.A. and will be reporting to the Business Unit Manager.
The position will be based in Bologna.
A key responsibility will be owner of Incident Elimination, Quality Trigger, Clean Inspect and Lubricate and Defect Handling Daily Management Systems (DMS).
In this position, you will also manage and motivate the team to achieve the line(s) business results.
Perform regular coaching to develop capabilities of his/her team on the daily management systems and build effective working relationships with all stakeholders through good communication, positive attitude and strong collaboration.
Finally, you will guarantee the Leading change through the IMS as an integral part of OPEN+ and propose and execute the agreed strategies by building execution plans, trainings and people development plans, empowering team members in the spirit of zero loss mindset.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Ensure the appropriate involvement of the INB Industrialization department for commercialization projects, guarantee the complete knowledge transfer with the needed documentation and information about the new process technology developed during the prototyping phase.
- Promote the Company's Health, Safety and Environmental culture, transfers it into procedures and work instructions to discipline and monitor the team activities and keep a healthy and safe-conscious working environment, in order to minimize or eliminate risks exposure to personnel.
- Manage high complex feasibility analysis, project studies and executions to meet Product Development and/or R&D requests regarding new filter samples and new process technology developments for prototyping solutions ensuring the implementation of the best solution within the requested timing (often tough).
- Ensure the new filter specs definition & validation and the Process Capability during the prototyping phase (process validation) in order to guarantee the reproducibility of the new process defined and tested.
- Set up, implement and continuously grow and develop the PTD Prototyping organization (by select, train, develop high skilled people) able to ensure start-up production with KPIs like KPIs for Standard/conventional products, becoming the reference for PMI in term of new filter process technology developments.
- Full accountability to lead and set the 24 hours direction for the line(s) during the Daily Direction Setting (DDS) to deliver the business results and ensures the follow up actions are completed.
Responsible for following up on Safety metric, Quality Trigger, Incident Elimination, Clean, Inspect & Lubricate and Defect Handling DMSs and Production attainment results.
- Driving performance through Loss elimination and continuous improvement.
- Control the maintenance task lists are in place and leads the maintenance activities in his/her team to ensure stability, predictability and reliability of operations.
- Ensures that the quality trigger daily management system and standards are in place and used to guarantee the product quality, integrity and full traceability, define targets and monitor the result of quality indicators as well as leads the follow up actions to deliver high quality product.
- Follow up and initiate timely corrective/preventive actions to guarantee precise needed transactional and performance data records in all relevant systems and data based.
The data or report is used as a source of legal and business processes performance management as based for business decision making.
- Review safety incident investigations to ensure the corrective actions are in place.
Execute weekly DMSs health checks to identify gaps and constraints in the organization and implement appropriate countermeasures accordingly.
Requirements & Skills:
