Identify and negotiate licensing agreements with potential partners, including manufacturers, distributors, and retailers.
Collaborate with legal teams to ensure the contracts and licensing agreements are properly drafted and executed.
Manage ongoing relationships with licensing partners, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and maintaining positive partnerships.
Work closely with licensees and internal teams to develop licensed product lines that align with the brand and target market.
Guide the product development process, from concept ideation to final product launch, ensuring quality and brand consistency.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop merchandising strategies that drive product visibility and sales.
Conduct financial analysis and forecasting related to licensing and merchandising activities.
Monitor sales performance, royalty revenues, and expenses associated with licensing partnerships.
Prepare reports and provide insights to management on licensing revenue, profitability, and market trends.Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and quality standards across all licensed products.
Conduct regular product quality control checks and monitor consumer feedback to maintain brand integrity.Implement measures to protect the brand from unauthorized use and infringement.
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and implement marketing campaigns to support licensed product launches.
Coordinate promotional activities with licensees and retailers to maximize product visibility and consumer engagement.
Monitor marketing effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed to drive sales and brand awareness.
Maintain accurate records of licensing contracts, agreements, and related documentation.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including intellectual property rights and licensing regulations.
Stay updated on changes in licensing laws and industry standards to proactively address any legal and compliance issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, legal, design, and operations, to ensure successful licensing and merchandising activities.
Provide guidance and support to internal teams and external partners to ensure effective collaboration and achievement of goals.
Requirements 5-10 years of experience in licensing, brand management, or merchandising, preferably in the retail or consumer products industry.
Background in Business, Marketing, or similar.
Strong understanding of licensing principles, contracts, and negotiations.
Knowledge of intellectual property rights and licensing regulations.
Strong analytical and financial acumen.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with licensing partners and internal stakeholders.
Creative thinking and ability to identify and capitalize on market trends and consumer preferences.
Detail-oriented with strong project management and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for financial analysis and reporting.
Fluency in English (other languages a plus).
