It requires working with other sales colleagues and internal stakeholders to drive the sales process for a narrow set of products or services.
Key activities include identifying and qualifying prospects, initiating new sales activity, and managing sales cycles to closure.
Additionally, the role requires the assessment of client needs and providing clients with strategic guidance and product overviews.Responsibilities:Manage full lifecycle sales process which includes identifying and initiating new sales opportunities by prospecting new clients and leveraging existing client relationships, sales presentations, and contract negotiations.Ensure complete client coverage by collaborating with product specialists and other client-facing professionals where appropriate.Provide current forecasts and pipeline information to management.Meet established revenue targets while creating new and enhanced customer relationships ensuring satisfaction.Generate new revenue from research, product, and service solutions while defending and growing existing revenue streams.Work closely with Product Specialists, Product Strategists, Marketing Strategists, and other employees within the organization to leverage their expertise in the sales cycle.Represent the company at industry and company-sponsored events, as required.This position requires travel.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related area required; MBA highly preferred.8+ years' experience in a sales role within a software/services organization with a successful track record in sales, preferably selling solutions to the global marketplace.Understanding of quantitative credit models and risk analysis within the corporate environment.Ability to sell on a needs/solutions approach.Solid understanding of different parts of the public and education sector with emphasis on regulators, tax, finance, security, and defence is highly preferred.Ability to influence key decision-makers during the full lifecycle of the sales process.Strong presentation and negotiation skills as well as outstanding client relationship management experience.Strong communication skills, both oral and written.Experience in managing (directly or indirectly) other sales professionals.Creative problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues and develop solutions.Ability to multitask and meet short deadlines.Ability to work both independently and within a team environment, with a focus and high attention to detail.Fluency in Italian and English is essential.Moody's is an equal opportunity employer.
