Description :
We are seeking a highly motivated Legal Trainee with a focus on technology, intellectual property law , and environmental regulations to support the Plantiverse project. The trainee conducts legal research , organizes documentation for investor data rooms, assists in drafting and reviewing contracts, and supports the team in navigating legal aspects related to IPR , patents , freedom to operate (FTO) , data security , AI/ML regulations , and Gender Equality Plans (GEP) for European projects. This role is critical in managing the legal complexities of the project, especially in the context of fundraising , public funding applications , and compliance with European regulations .
Ideal Candidate Profile :
Enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Law or a related field. Demonstrates strong interest in intellectual property law , data privacy , AI/ML regulations , and environmental law . Shows an understanding of public finance mechanisms, including public funding and European grants . Familiarity with IPR , FTO analysis , and patent law is highly valued. Possesses excellent research and organizational skills. Daily Tasks :
Legal Research :
Conducts legal research on relevant laws and regulations in the agricultural, technology, and environmental sectors, with a focus on IPR, patent law , data privacy , and AI/ML regulations . Prepares reports on legal findings, including freedom to operate (FTO) assessments and compliance with AI/ML regulations . Documentation for Investor Data Room :
Organizes and manages legal documentation for investor data rooms, including patents, IPR documents, contracts, financial data, and other relevant materials. Ensures that all documentation is up to date and accessible to potential investors and partners. Contract Drafting and Review :
Assists in drafting and reviewing contracts related to partnerships, pilot projects, and collaborations . Supports the legal team in ensuring contracts address IPR issues, data privacy , and regulatory compliance for AI/ML-related aspects of the project. Support for Fundraising, Public Funding, and Compliance :
Collaborates with the team to prepare public funding applications and European grant submissions , ensuring all legal requirements are met, including aspects of GEP . Ensures compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and AI/ML standards as part of project development. Monitors and advises on legal aspects of IPR, data security , and patent law relevant to the project. IPR and Patent Strategy :
Supports the team in managing the project's IPR portfolio and developing strategies to protect patents and freedom to operate in various jurisdictions. Conducts due diligence on patent filings and potential IPR infringements , providing recommendations for legal actions. How to Apply :
