This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the legal aspects of a globally recognized event and to work closely with prestigious international organizations, including the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will:Handle activities related to trademark law and copyright law from both Italian and international perspectives.
Assist in drafting and negotiating contracts for the executive production of Ceremonies, the Olympic/Paralympic Torch Relay, and content licensing.Manage and protect the intellectual property specific to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Enforce legislation against unfair practices (e.g., Ambush Marketing) associated with global sporting events.Perform trademark prosecution and handle pre-litigation matters.
Draft cease-and-desist letters and coordinate with the IOC Legal Team on trademark conflicts.Conduct in-depth analyses of copyright issues, particularly in entertainment, music, and cinema.
Oversee legal aspects of creative content management.Draft and coordinate policies and procedures related to Rights Protection as required by Fondazione and the IOC.Draft and review contracts related to digital/software industries, education, culture, and ambassador programs.
Manage legal documents for media rights and TV production in compliance with antitrust and audiovisual regulations.Prepare and implement programs in collaboration with the IOC and Hospitality Provider.Draft NDAs, image rights waivers, and letters of undertaking for employees and consultants.
Maintain and upload contract records to the IOC digital system.Requirements:Proven legal research and opinion-writing capabilities.
Proficiency in drafting high-quality legal/commercial documents in both Italian and English.
Expertise in sports sponsorships, marketing, and legal aspects of new technologies.
Knowledge of image rights and endorsement agreements.
Familiarity with media law, particularly TV rights and audiovisual media regulations.Fluency in English is essential.
French proficiency is an advantage.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, including occasional work on weekends.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficiency with MS Office and other IT tools.
