Position
Within NHOA, the Energy Storage business designs, industrializes and produces utility-scale Energy Storage Systems, granting world-class power supply and the delivery of renewable energy into the grid.
The Legal Specialist mission will be to support the Legal team in providing a proactive, in-depth, legal advice to the Energy Storage business, as well as implementing initiatives and processes in order to set standard and reinforce a culture of integrity, quality, ethical behaviour and responsibility across the business.
The person will get the opportunity to work in a high-profile environment and join an international and dynamic team used to working under pressure and collaborating to reach key deadlines and goals.
This role requires an individual with personal confidence, legal acumen and business savvy to operate in a highly regulated industry.
The role will be reporting to the General Counsel.
This position will be based in Milan (Italy), flexibility to travel for work is required.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
The roles and responsibilities of the Legal Specialist include, but are not limited to the following:
- Analyse and identify the legal risks and implications of all the business's transactions and drafting legal opinions;
- Drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements (EPC Agreement; O&M Agreement; Supply Agreement, LOI, Bank guarantees etc...);
- Interface with all internal department to arrive at the best solutions for NHOA;
- Keep the senior management in all departments of the business informed of developments in laws and regulations that potentially affect the business;
- Set-up and continuously improve NHOA processes and standards;
- Support the Legal team in all legal matters of NHOA Group;
**Requirements**:
**EDUCATION**
The Legal Specialist must have a Law degree and at least 4-5 years of experience in a legal department of an energy or industrial company or in an Energy department of an international law firm.
**SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS**
Hard skills:
- Fluent in English, Spanish and Italian will be a distinct advantage;
- Proven track record in negotiating and closing large sized EPC projects,
- Familiarity with renewable energy sector and market practices;
- Ability to find workable solutions to complicate legal questions;
- Ease to work with various jurisdictions;
Soft skills:
- Ambitious, self-motivated, enthusiastic, industrious, and hardworking
- Possesses the highest of ethical standards
- Curious by nature; possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, including a direct, candid and concise communication style Intellectual rigor
- Ability to prioritize and maintain output under pressure;
- Flexible to travel for work;
