In this role, we can offer a full-time role, with flexible working arrangements, such as hybrid working up to 20% of the time, adjusted working hours, and other alternative working patterns.
As a Legal Counsel, you will be part of the Corporate Legal department and will report to the Senior Legal Counsel Central South Europe.
Key responsibilities: Support the legal team with timely advice on all matters related to legal affairs including but not limited to, contracts, commercial, governance, and regulation.
Ensure that the legal documents and other contractual documents are effectively drafted, reviewed, interpreted, and vetted.
Research and evaluate different risk factors and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues.
Maintain knowledge of laws and provide clarification on legal language.
Support Senior Legal Counsel and external resources in the application and update of permits and licenses, complying with relevant local, regional and national laws.
Assist and, on request, act as liaison with local, regional and national authorities for any matters and clearances related to the construction and operation of the business unit.
Manage, on request, external legal resources.
Advise and ensure the business in compliance with the necessities of legislation involving privacy law and data protection.
We Are Looking For: University degree in law.
3-4 years relevant experience preferably in the port sector, infrastructure of transport and logistics industry.
Solid experience and knowledge in regulatory matters and general corporate and commercial legal issues.
Professional proficiency in English.
Italian language at mothertongue level.
Ability to work independently and a team player with the local team to find creative solutions to complex issues.
Strong written and oral communication and analytical skills.
Ability to grasp complex areas of law rapidly and accurately.
Exhibiting sound practical judgment.
Ability to equilibrate priorities and organize work effectively to meet deadlines.
Self-starter, hands-on, good communicator (able to explain complex legal issues to non-legal people), empathy, personal tact.
Location: Vado Ligure.
