Headcount Growth : July 2019 : 10 July 2020 : 50 July 2021 : 200 July 2023 : +500 Reporting to the VP Legal and working closely with the other Legal Counsel (based in HQ in Lyon, France), your responsibilities will include, for the 6 entities across Europe: Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts with customers, service providers and partners in Italian and English (SaaS contracts, master service agreements, DPAs, NDAs, SLAs...); Providing practical advice, decision support and recommendations to legal-related queries from operational teams across several countries (C-Level, customer support, product, tech teams, marketing, etc); Managing GDPR compliance projects with the DPO; Ensuring compliance with all legal regulatory requirements and good corporate governance; Managing potential pre-litigation and litigation matters; Helping to set up processes to structure the legal department and the business.
What we're looking for: You have a generalist degree in business law and or/ contract law and have at least 4 years of experience on similar missions preferably as in-house counsel in an international company; You ideally have already actively participated in the creation/structuring of a legal department; You have a strong capacity to adapt and a willingness to work on a broad/generalist scope with a business and operational perspective; You have an excellent level of written and spoken English (most exchanges will be in English).
Knowledge of German is a big +.
Strong ability to work with other teams as a business partner; Appetite for new and complex legal and technological challenges.
