We are currently developing a pipeline of large assets in strategic locations, taking a fresh look at what a pure-play battery storage company can do to be ahead of the competition.
This requires skilled and creative legal advice for building out contract structures that replicate best practices from the highly commercial UK approach, while being on top of Italian civil code, compliance and best practices.
You will be part of an exciting growth phase of the company, having the opportunity to put in place the foundational legal toolkit for Field Italia.
Overview Field's Italian office in Rome is looking for a legal counsel to work side-by-side with the General Manager of Field Italia and the legal team in London to support land deals in Italy, general legal advice related to the Italian legal entity as well as supporting the authorisation process for battery storage assets in Italy.
You'll join a team that is strongly committed to making a difference in developing, financing, building and operating the assets we need to protect our climate and the environment.
Key Responsibilities The role Legal Counsel is a broad and varied role with the opportunity to have a massive impact.

Key responsibilities include, especially in the near term: support the development of battery storage projects in Italy transaction support and legal due diligence - with a focus on real estate, planning and construction support the legal aspects related to the Italian entity, Field Italia s.r.l.
drafting, reviewing, and negotiating of: land preliminary agreements for purchase or lease (DDS), easements and expropriations Planning authorizations, incl.
Autorizzazione Unica ministeriale and Procedura Abilitativa Semplificata (PAS) Contractual services with partners, land scouts and engineering firms to support project development joint development agreements (co-sviluppo) Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts for the wider business e.g.
NDAs, software licences, services agreements Support with company secretarial obligations, board minutes, and general corporate compliance matters.
Work in close coordination with the UK legal team, to ensure consistency across the group wherever legally possible.
