For our client based in Anglophone Africa, we are seeking a highly skilled Legal and Contracts Management Superintendent. This pivotal role is essential to ensuring legal compliance and effective management of all contracts for our client's operations. About the Role: The Legal and Contracts Management Superintendent will support the Legal Manager to ensure legal compliance of business operations and consistent definition and management of all contracts. This includes overseeing the contract management process, developing standards for bidding and submission, negotiating contracts, and managing documentation. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth and compliant operations within the mining industry. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage operations of the Legal and Contracts Department. Conduct legal due diligence on suppliers, service providers, and contractors. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and other contracts. Support end-user departments in contract implementation and performance monitoring. Provide legal support to management for mitigating legal-related risks. Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: An admitted legal practitioner/solicitor qualified in England or equivalent Common Law/Commonwealth jurisdiction with at least 2 years PQE. Bachelor's degree in law, business, quantity surveying, or related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience in legal and contract management within the mining or construction industry. Strong experience in the administration of complex commercial contracts. Excellent drafting and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under pressure.
