Legal Affairs Senior ManagerFor our HQ in Milan we are looking for a Legal Affairs Senior Manager.
Reporting to the Prysmian Group Legal Affairs VP, you will manage and provide legal support to the business carried out worldwide by the companies of the Group.
This position involves close association and coordination with different business functions, especially within the Group's Transmission Business Unit. You will manage contracts, provide ongoing legal advice in a wide range of legal areas, manage litigation and support Group Legal Affairs VP in cross-borders M&A projects, in either case above liaising with and coordinating external counsel and other advisors or consultants, when needed.
Who we are looking for? We are looking for a Legal Affairs manager that has gained significant experience in legal matters with strong drafting and negotiating skills, has strong analytical skills and ability to understand complex legal matters, is able to understand and address both internal and external customer's needs and is passionate to work in a team with different professionals both in-house and external. The ideal candidate should have an advanced degree in German law from an accredited institution, preferably in commercial law or equivalent, and must be fluent in English and German (both verbal and written).
Key expectation for the role: Review, analyze, comment and draft a wide variety of EPCI, supply, service and maintenance contracts for the Transmission business worldwide, including offshore wind farms and interconnectors, in line with the internal policy on contractual risks.Negotiate contracts vis-à-vis the customers, acting as the main focal point of the Group's contractual position.Manage legal issues and claims arising from the contract execution, including the drafting and negotiation of settlement agreements.Introduce templates for contracts where appropriate and advise on tender processes.Ensure the proper defense of claims in legal proceedings, advising senior management on the proper course of action.Draft, negotiate, review and comment on a wide variety of supply contracts and framework agreements in support of Group's purchasing department.Provide professional and credible legal advice on various legal topics.Stay abreast of new rules, regulations and trends in the industry and region.Develop and provide trainings on legal issues, processes and policies.Special projects and other duties, as assigned.Qualifications: Advanced degree in German law from an accredited institution, preferably in commercial law or equivalent.10+ years post-qualification experience, working in-house or with a reputable international law firm.Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex legal concepts to non-lawyers.Excellent drafting and negotiating skills in English and German.Experience handling high volume of contract reviews, drafting and negotiation.Experience handling litigation matters.Demonstrated evidence of extensive interaction with various internal and external stakeholders.Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.Ability to demonstrate sound and independent judgment.Client orientation with a constructive approach to resolution of issues.Manufacturing industry experience is strongly preferred.Ability and willingness to travel, as needed.Fluent in English and German (both verbal and written).Prysmian, as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
