The Leathergoods Technician Manager will be the main reference point for their product category.
Build and maintain a close collaboration with the Design office following the collection development from initial stages to the delivery of the finished product for sampling and shows Act as the technical reference point for Design, participating in key collection meetings, providing feedback on technical feasibility, suggesting ideas and solutions to ensure that the stylistic idea is transferred into the product Manage and address any issues that may arise in the realization process from the idea to the pre-production phase together with the Design office and suppliers.
Ensure deadlines are met by monitoring and managing all issues on prototypes/samples until their completion.
Identify, anticipate, and provide suggestions/recommendations to mitigate possible risks at each stage of the product development and realization process Manage external suppliers, working closely with them to define prototypes and samples Participate in industrialization meetings to ensure a smooth and defined transition for the production of all products Work closely with Industrialization during the collection development phase for product testing based on defined standards, leveraging technical knowledge and negotiating any aesthetic changes while protecting the stylistic vision Ability to work with Designers, understand and interpret their requests and stylistic vision, transferring it to the team and suppliers Technical skills and product knowledge to confidently guide the Design office by providing instant solutions on bag construction Experience in managing relationships with suppliers and clearly conveying company requests Handle issues to ensure timely delivery of the collection by identifying and providing suggestions/recommendations to mitigate possible risks Proven experience working with suppliers and operational knowledge of manufacturers, providing clear briefs and maintaining constructive relationships to meet requests Excellent communication skills; effectively share information and work confidently at every level Technical knowledge of pattern making and product assembly Knowledge of various types of leathers/fabrics and their impact on the product In-depth knowledge of the Fashion sector and the product in the relevant category Computer skills: Excel, CAD Language skills: English #J-18808-Ljbffr
