Reporting to the Head of Learning & Development, a vacancy has arisen for a Learning & Development Officer to deliver IT training courses to the business (50%) and to schedule and administer other training courses required by the firm (50%).
**You will be responsible for**:
- Developing and maintaining course materials and training documents such as hand-outs, manuals and exercises
- Scheduling and administering training and development courses of all types
- Liaising with internal clients and external suppliers
- Using the learning management system to deliver eLearning courses
- Using the compliance training system to distribute mandatory training courses
- Completing starter, leaver and transfer processes
- Maintaining accurate training records on the training database
- Assisting the Head of Learning & Development with major projects
**Essential skills for the role**:
- At least 2 years' experience in an IT training role delivering face to face training ideally in a professional services environment
- Previous experience developing eLearning material using Adobe Captivate or similar software
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to learn about new software and concepts quickly in order to provide training
- Excellent communication skills to be able to liaise with and teach people throughout the firm in a confident and professional manner
- A positive attitude, good numeracy and methodical approach
- A committed team player who can also work using initiative
- Professionalism and the ability to be a representative for the firm
**Desirable skills and experience for the role**:
- An understanding of legal document management, practice management and case management systems - IManage Work, Aderant and Visualfiles
- Working knowledge of the DocsCorp suite of products including cleanDocs, pdfDocs and compareDocs
- A good command of a learning management system and compliance training system, for example MetaCompliance
- Knowledge of SharePoint
