Job Description Summary At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Company, we've been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for engine and mechanical transmissions applied to both civil and military aviation (i.e., accessory drivetrains, engine thermal management, turboprop & helicopter reduction gearboxes, etc.).
Process and quality improvement roles impact departmental operations and are responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.
Job Description Essential Responsibilities Be partner of business leader in the Lean transformation journey.Drive & foster a Continuous improvement culture, where the whole team owns transformation plan.Lead complex & inter-functional improvement projects with a goal of enhanced performance.Constantly seek, share, and implement best practices.Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional team empowered to execute the Lean strategy for process improvement.Ability to document current and plan for future Value Stream Map, presents projects plans, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders.Communicates solutions across the own function and with cross-functional partner organizations.Facilitate, train, and coach other team members in the use of Lean tools.Will be GEAPS advocate in the Area assigned, in order to drive adoption & cultural evolution.Qualifications/Requirements Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Management or Industrial Engineering.Proven experience in operational or technical roles in a complex manufacturing environment.Deep understanding of manufacturing processes.Demonstrated ability to analyze and use the Problem Solving Approach.Deep knowledge and application on Lean Manufacturing Methodology and tools.Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong relationship & leadership skills: able to influence, motivate and work effectively within a matrix environment.Fluency in Italian and English.Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required.Desired characteristics Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing.Black Belt Certification.What we offer Smart working and work life-balance Avio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
