LEAN MANAGEMENT / PROCESS IMPROVEMENT ENGINEERJob location: South-East Milan area Overview:Reporting to Program Manager, the selected resource, acting within a well structured testing, inspection and certification services lab collaborating with premium OEMs in different industries (Aerospace, Energy/OG, Life Sciences, Transportations etc), will be accountable for defining and implementing strategies and actions aimed at promoting process improvement and productivity optimization.
Job Responsibilities:He/She will be in charge for the following duties: Implementation of new capital equipment from specification and ordering through delivery, installation, and release to production; Create Process drill down gap analysis and identify improvement activities to minimize waste in processes/methods of manufacture; Carry out Value Stream Mapping on key processes; Perform root cause analysis to identify Failure modes / Waste elimination ideas and corrective actions with CFT on Key failure modes/Waste elimination; Demonstrate effective application of optimum manning in a work environment to carry out an improvement activity to minimise waste in a process and/or method of manufacture; Help build and maintain shop floor work instructions (including specifications, engineering changes, QAD/process control, and tooling definition/requirements); Use specific Virtual Manufacturing analysis tools and resources to be applied at the appropriate time to support Safety, Quality, Productivity improvements as required; Leading productivity and equipment improvement activity within a facility; Author final recommendation report and support in creation of key specifications for CAPEX and monitor measures to assess the impact; Coordinate in sharing the best practices within community of practice; Can obtain agreed estimate times with operators and validate against production requirements; Has ability to write Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for any local process or assisted supplier creation of SOP.
Required Skills (Technical Competency): Engineering Degree; At least 5 years experience in a similar role; Ability to demonstrate an understanding of Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering Processes practices, Method of manufacture, Work study and Time study; Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/Management, Value Stream Mapping and Continuous Improvement methodologies; General awareness of Manufacturing Systems (CAD, CAM, CAPP, Manufacturing Execution System, PDM, SAP) and plant layout (Product, Process Cellular) relevant to the business.

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent, Contract with VAT Salary: €40,000.00 - €70,000.00 per year Benefits: Company computer; Flexible hours; Support for professional development.
Availability: Monday to Friday; No weekends; Overtime; Day shift.
