Milan Area Schools is hiring! We are seeking a passionate Lead GSRP Preschool Teacher to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development, classroom management, and curriculum development. The candidate must show professionalism, leadership, and emotional maturity to problem-solve and work in a team setting.
Experience in Highscope, Kaymbu/COR, and Conflict Resolution a plus. If you have experience working with students and are dedicated to providing a nurturing educational environment, we want to hear from you.
Duties:Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote the intellectual and social growth of students.Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for children.Utilize effective classroom management techniques to ensure a positive learning experience.Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a comprehensive educational program.Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents or guardians.Experience:Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood, or a Michigan Teaching Credential, or BA in a related field preferred. Candidates with lesser degrees in the field may be considered on a compliance plan for completion of BA if no viable candidates are available.Previous experience working with children in settings such as childcare, daycare, tutoring, or special education.Strong understanding of childhood development principles.Proficiency in curriculum development and implementation.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.If you are passionate about education and making a difference in the lives of children, we encourage you to apply for the Lead Teacher position.
