Do you want to create something that will change the way people think about data analysis? We are looking for highly ambitious engineers who want to own major aspects of the Tykli product – from the back-end through to the end user experience. If this is you, we want to hear from you!
As a Lead Engineer, you will have an excellent opportunity to jump into a breakthrough and profitable company that is growing fast.
Requirements: Strong Java skills, with the ability to hit the ground working in a large codebase; Strong grasp of algorithms and data structure fundamentals: O(lgn) vs O(n) matters a lot when N is 100 petabytes; Extensive experience with web infrastructure, distributed systems, performance analysis, search infrastructure and/or large-scale data processing; Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation); Strong oral and written communication skills and a collaborative mindset: you will be representing Tykli in public, interacting with end users and leading a dev team; Strong background in statistics and data analysis; BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent. We are committed to being great, and we want someone who:
Can work at a fast-paced company where the feedback cycle is measured in hours rather than weeks; Has a background of delivering superb work again and again; Is passionate about finding insights in data and using quantitative analysis to answer complex questions; Wants to have ownership and responsibility for a major aspect of product functionality from back-end algorithms through to the user interface; Likes to think about how to tailor a user experience, but is also comfortable creating highly scalable infrastructures. Desired: Experience in modeling, machine learning, and working with large datasets; Ability to design and implement efficient algorithms for crawling, indexing, searching, and ranking documents; Experience in Graph Theory, Large Networks Analysis, Network Visualization; Experience with Hadoop or other MapReduce-based architectures; Experience with NoSQL, Vertical and Graph db; Contributions to the open-source community.
