As a Lead Shipping Specialist you will: Develop and lead end-to-end logistics solutions to achieve required on-time pick up delivery of goods.
Manage Logistics Costs to meet budgets and Op Plans.
Arrange shipments for exceptional transport (oversize and/or overweight, Project Cargo).
Establish effective communication and coordination with customer freight forwarders to ensure timely pick-up of materials.
Supervise and collect all the required documentation for the assigned shipments.
Elaborate proposals for process improvement taking into consideration broader functional context.
Hold effective communication with other functional areas required, influencing peers to meet the objectives.
To be successful in your role: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of experience in Logistics).
Fluent English, written and spoken.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to influence others and lead operational tasks.
Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
Ability to supervise several activities simultaneously.
Effective problem identification and solution skills.
Proven analytical and organizational ability.
