Job Opportunity: Senior Workplace, Health and Safety (WHS) Specialist At Amazon, we need talented and experienced individuals to help us operate safely and efficiently. As a Senior Workplace, Health and Safety (WHS) Specialist, your role is key to driving improvements on-site and at a regional level. You'll help your colleagues maintain high standards, all while driving a culture of safety and inclusivity on your site.
There are two sides to what we do:
'Under the Roof' Associates: These associates process millions of products for dispatch to our delivery teams. Our team is people-focused and supportive, particularly as lots of our people work through the night. We focus mostly on operations, with 24/7 shifts in most of our locations. 'On the Road' People: This group works with Amazon Flex - a network of delivery contractors. Every year, we continually raise the bar for customer experience with new, innovative delivery services. Key Job Responsibilities Manage your programmes, whilst regularly collaborating with other teams and stakeholders across the company. Use internal reporting tools to analyse data reports and root causes that provide leadership with the information they need to make safety-related decisions. Provide guidance and arrangements for health and safety projects and policies. Drive programmes to improve technical equipment specifications and designs within Amazon. Above-average willingness to travel within the covered region. A Day in the Life This is an extremely varied role based at one of our sites, allowing you to directly contribute to many aspects of our safety culture. You will manage health and safety standards while improving functionality and efficiency. You'll also manage your team and help them implement changes in response to employee feedback or seize opportunities to continuously make process improvements.
About the Team Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) plays a crucial role in keeping our people mentally and physically well at work. Our team works with managers, associates, and local governments across our sites, making sure we're complying with Amazon's policies and legal regulations, and that our workplaces are safe.
