Lead Housekeeper

A Lead Housekeeper is primarily responsible for daily work orders, all University event set-ups and breakdowns and emergencies, under direct supervision.
Position Responsibilities:
Provides routine guidance of others as to job duties;Distributes work orders and assignments to workforce;Reports any damaged housekeeping equipment or dangerous situations to a Manager or Supervisor;Completes work assignments and work orders in an appropriate manner;Covers housekeeping FTE's assignments on sick or vacation as needed;Perform other work related duties as assigned.Experience & Educational Background:
High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years of prior leadership experience is required.Valid state issued driver's license required.Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds;Must be able to work the majority of the day walking, twisting, bending, pushing, and kneeling while working;Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.;Good communication skills and ability to interact with building/office occupants efficiently;Knowledge of proper work procedures and proper use of equipment.Must have excellent organizational, verbal, written communication skills and basic computer knowledge;Must be able to prioritize and delegate tasks;Must be able to physically lift boxes and bulk items such as furniture, supplies, etc.;Respirator Fit Testing may be required.
