About the Role
As AESC ramps up new battery manufacturing facilities across the Southeastern United States to meet rising demand from automotive OEM partners, we are expanding our local engineering teams to support smooth plant launches.
As the Lead Facilities Control Systems Engineer for Global Industrial Development, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Industrial Facility systems including Compressed air, Cooling water, Chillers, HVAC, Lighting, Security, Fire Suppression, and Manufacturing equipment.
What You Will Do
Direct Contractors: Work with General Contractor and Engineering Design Contractors to evaluate and approve the Facility Control System design.Vendor and Supplier Management: Lead interactions with external suppliers and vendors for Facility Equipment.Instrumentation: Assist Process engineers with correct selection and placement of Instrumentation.SCADA/HMI: Develop standard HMI and SCADA designs using Ignition by Inductive Automation.Standards: Develop Standard specs and Basis of Design for a fully integrated and Automated Battery Manufacturing Facility.Controllers: Familiar with different controllers and control systems including PLCs and DDCs.Monitoring/Reporting: Establish and maintain advanced monitoring protocols.Interface with Stakeholders: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements.Commissioning: Supervise integrators to ensure seamless commissioning of supervisory control systems.Operation: Assist local personnel on day-to-day operation of Facility.Training: Train Local facility operations and maintenance.Optimization: Conduct regular assessments using data analytics.Demonstrate Leadership Skills: Provide guidance to team members.Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with emerging standards and regulations.What You Need
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, controls Engineering or a related field.8-10+ years of hands-on experience in Facility Control Systems.In-Depth Knowledge of Facility Industrial Hardware and Software.Familiar with protocols such as Profinet, ModbusTCP, Ethernet/IP, BACnet, OPC.Proficiency in programming commonly used in PLC controlled Facilities.Experience with integrated Facility safety systems.Instrumentation experience with selecting instruments for facility monitoring.Strong understanding of Network layout and infrastructure.Experience with Siemens PLC S7, TIA Portal, DDCs.Start-up Experience.Experience in leading and mentoring engineers.What We Offer
